I have used Jane Johnson as a realtor since 1997. She has sold four homes and purchased three homes for me. In addition, I have recommended her to multiple friends who have used her to successfully sell or purchase homes. I have also had to use other realtors over the years for a variety of reasons so am able to compare the service I have received from Jane versus from these other realtors. Please allow me to share my experiences.

Jane is meticulous in her preparation, homework and due diligence. When I first identified Jane as a realtor I wanted to use, it was because she was the listing agent for a neighbor's home in Ravenna. Jane ensured that the home was presented perfectly, with materials that highlighted the homes unique features. We chose her as the listing agent for our Ravenna home and went to work! With Jane you have a partnership. She helped us to make the changes that would help our home to sell while avoiding changes that would have been expensive and time-consuming, with questionable value. When it came time to decide on the day to bring the house onto the market and to decide on the selling price, Jane arrived with a market analysis to help guide us to make a solid business decision rather than an emotional decision. A few years later when a friend was selling and then buying a house, Jane was just as savvy, helping my friend to land a great home in a difficult bargaining situation. I used Jane to buy a home in the University district and won out against 9 other bids! Mine was not the highest, but Jane helped me to identify what the owners most wanted in terms of convenience and other intangibles and to package my bid with "love". She was astute in reading the sellers and the other agent. I used Jane to sell a home for a disabled family member in the ViewRidge neighborhood and again, she was outstanding to help get a good price and lessen the burden of my job.

Jane has deep expertise in the Seattle market. She does her homework so that you -- as a seller or buyer -- can feel confident that you understand the local market. She helps guide you in the purchase or sale of a home without pressuring you in any way. I can attest to her patience when I have said that a home just didn't feel right, and that was good enough reason to cross off the list. But Jane also owns her expertise. When there are things that she is confident a homeowner really should do to help a home sell, she will tell you. And similarly, when there is something about a home that makes it a questionable purchase, even if you are gushing about it, she will speak up. I trust Jane Johnson and because of that, I continue to use her as my Seattle realtor and to recommend her to my friends.
